I would like to buy math workbooks to help my child who is in 5/6 compacted math. He is not having trouble with the concepts but I am realizing that there are some principles that he has not yet learned and he could use some extra practice. I would prefer to buy in person because when I look online it is hard to tell whether the workbooks are appropriate.
Does Barnes and Noble have a good selection. Any other ideas? |
| Lakeshore learning in Alexandria,VA. This place is like the "WalMart" of teachers stores. There is also a teachers store Largo called Education Inc too. However, I suggest Lakeshore over them. |
| Barnes & Noble has a decent selection. You could also try ABCs and 123s in Wintergreen Plaza in Rockville. |

I printed a bunch of worksheets off here for free for summer learning. They have some pretty decent stuff and it's free. I bought workbooks before and I usually find at least half of it is useless. |
| Where are you? Did you try the teacher stores in Wintergreen Plaza in Rockville or on Nicholson Lane in N. Bethesda? I don't recall the name of either. ABCs and 123s, maybe. |
| I'm in MoCo. I haven't tried any stores or workbooks yet. |
| ABC store in Wintergreen Plaza in Rockville has literally thousands of workbooks and teacher stuff for all grades |
