Infertility Support and Discussion
| FSH is 8.8 but estradol is 74 -- are these numbers ok for a 41 year old? it seems est is high. |
| The estrogen is a little high, but not so much that it would be suppressing your fsh too much. I think that's pretty normal for a 41 year old. Was this coming off any estrogen priming, or bcps, or a natural cycle? What is your protocol? |
| thanks for your reply -- it's coming off of a couple natural cycles (3); just before that i had 3 failed medicated IUIs. Not sure yet on the protocal but it will start with the luporn supressing phase. I go in for an orientation in two weeks. |

yea it's a tad high. I think they like it 50 or under.
I know that if your estrogen is a bit high you fget fasle readings on your true FSH. My friend had an estrogen level of 160 (after her FET and all the estrogen patches she was on) and her FSH wasn't even detectable! |
| Yes, your estradol is high, so likely supressing your FSH. I would guess if your estradol was normal your FSH would be more in the 12 range, which is in line for your age. But what was your follicle count. |
not necessarily. I am 41 and my estrogen was 45 and FSH was 8.25 |
