Can I pack a vibrator in my carry-on?

Anonymous
Will TSA make me take it out?
Anonymous
haha yes. I have!

It's an electronic item. They may make you plug it in and turn it on - pardoned the pun.

No, but you can pack your neck massager.

Just take the batteries out of it.

Narrator: Was it ticking?
Airport Security Officer: Actually, throwers don't worry about ticking 'cause modern bombs don't tick.
Narrator: Sorry, throwers?
Airport Security Officer: Baggage handlers. But when a suitcase vibrates, then the throwers gotta call the police.
Narrator: My suitcase was vibrating?
Airport Security Officer: Nine times out of ten it's an electric razor. But … every once in a while [looks around, leans in conspiratorially] … it's a dildo. [leans back] Of course, it's company policy never to imply ownership in the event of a dildo. We have to use the indefinite article, "a dildo", never … your dildo.
Narrator: I don't own a dildo!

take the batteries out to make sure (100% sure) that it won't start accidentally during tsa scan.

You really can't leave home without it? Not judging, just wondering if I'm a weirdo.

I once has a bullet vibrator and play handcuffs in my bag. Along with a wig, oils and some other mess. (Was going to visit a long distance bf at the time.) This was before 9-11 screening processes were officially established and they weren't doing checks in private rooms, not too long after the the towers fell. Anyway I was mortified as conservative looking me stood there while they pulled everything out right in front of everyone. I eventually asked them to be discreet and insisted they take me to a private room, which they agreed to do. I was questioned about the offs and where I was going, they ended up letting me keep everythig else but said I could mail the cuffs to myself if I wanted. Kinda funny in hindsight.

I think you'll be ok with the vibratoe unless it looks like a knife, gun, or other weapon...

^^^ Or a billy club.

TSA may consider this a weapon. Take it out and have them check just to make sure.

Better question is why OP can't put it her checked luggage -- apparently, she can't go the entire plane ride without it.

Why not just mail it to your hotel?
Anonymous
Could you wear it and get through? ; )
