Am I the only one that hates yogurt?

I've been reading a lot about yogurt lately on here in terms of what people are buying and what food thieves are stealing and I have to say this stuff makes me want to puke. Yogurts is so disgusting to me on so many levels and who named it "yogurt" anyway? Could there be a less appealing name for this sour and slightly off smelling concoction? Ewwwwwwww

I hear you.

Not many people in this area will fess up to that. I watch, smirkingly, as people contemplate their yogurt selection at the local Whole Foods like it's a life altering decision.

I will not eat it.

I come from a yoghurt eating culture - it is comfort food for me - yum - love it with mint and black pepper! The packaged sweetened yoghurts are way to sweet!

People who enjoy yogurt like to mull over their choices. They're not standing there because they're FAKING liking yogurt. Gimme a break. Nothing to smirk about.

I'm with you, OP, I hate yogurt too, except for full fat plain that I can then sweeten myself with honey or fruit. Now that can be tasty. Yoplait et al are just wretched to me.

I don't like yogurt- my seven year old will eat unsweetened, non fat Greek yogurt by the barrel. Gross but more power to him- it's healthy. I like stinky French cheese, so I assume my yogurt aversion is more about the texture than the taste.

The healthy foods are acquired tastes.

Will not touch it!

I think eating cottage cheese is gross. Don't know how people do it even if they mix in fruit or granola.
