| I have been reading the posts about immune issues/tests and have a question. Could someone please explain what HLA and KIR testing are? Are they genetic tests for the mother? I am using donor egg, so are these tests something that I should look into? Or would they only apply to OE? (Apologies if some of this info is out there on the web; I often find the "plain English" explanations of DCUMers more helpful.) |

HLA issues exist between the protein in the sperm and the protein in the uterus. |
| KIR can point to implantation issues and that has nothing to do with the genetics of the embryo. PP listed some really good resources. |
