Nationals game ot on regular cable!!!

I hate how people are all but forced to get the full-blown cable now. I wouldn't even have any cable if not for sports. Back just 10 years, I could watch my midwest team on the normal broadcast channels. Every single normal and post-season game. Now, you not only need basic cable, but the package that includes MLB channel. I know it's all about money, but how sad. Retirees can't just turn on the game anymore. No one can unless you have cable. UGGHH.

see my posts in 'cutting cable' thread in tv/books forum.

There's a reason why the NBA was able to get 3x the rights fees from turner and disney today.

The demand for live sports is what keeps cable/sat operators in business.

OP, try this link:

http://cricfree.tv/live/watch/washington_nationals_at_san_francisco_giants_/59108

it's not going to be hdtv quality, but it might be serviceable for you.

Yeah, you should have heard the tirade I went on this weekend about the fact that college football was on network tv and the Nats game was relegated to cable.

But the, I hate college football and all it represents...

I know! I couldn't believe that either. Ended up listening to last night's game on the radio, which was kind of fun actually.

Me too! After my tantrum over not finding it on our Direct TV, I enjoyed it on radio.

Baseball is for old men on the east coast - that's the key demographic. Young adults are much more interested in college football so unfortunately baseball's presence on tv is only gonna get worse from here on out.
