I am looking for someone to help me tie together some fixed elements in my home. (granite counters, cabinets). Are there any online services that provide this, or do I need to hire someone? I don't need an interior decorator, just someone to help me choose paint and flooring colors.
Thanks in advance! |
An interior decorator does that too. At least mine did. |
Op here, thanks!
I found this online resource and wondered if anyone else has used this? I love the idea of doing it all online, much more convenient with my schedule. http://10rooms.blogspot.com/p/on-line-colour-consultations.html she offers a color consultation for $100, which seems reasonable to me. |
Google Maria Killam. This is her specialty. |
Thanks! You guys are awesome. |
We were offered a color consultant from the paint services company. Glad I didn't pick the colors she picked for us. |
Colleen at redbird design. She came to the house for an hour and it was like $75. Loved the colors she picked, too. |

Loved this company - I think her nameis Florence Jones. It was pretty inexpensive too. |
Do NOT do an online color consultant!! A real consult involves someone being in your space and showing you actual colors versus on-screen colors. I'd also not recommend a paint store employee because they aren't really designers.
Most designers who consult will do this. |
I can't remember her name but there was a wonderful woman at strosniders in Bethesda who helped us pick out colors. We brought in small samples of stuff we had available (extra piece of cabinet, countertop, tile, etc) and she chose the BEST color. I believe she also comes out to people's houses. |
Try Jessica Bonness: www.jgbinteriors.com . She does that kind of stuff, like paint color consults and choosing materials. |
