The only time I can get a workout in during the week is after the kids are down.
I find it difficult to fall asleep when I workout so late. Any recommendations on how to cool down and sleep after a late workout? |
after you get your heart rate down with slower pace movements, try ending your workout with cool down stretches or yoga. Floor stretches with deep, controlled breathing will help you get more relaxed. Spinal twists, hip openers, full body lengthening stretches, bridges...coordinate them with slow exhales and inhales. Super-relaxing music and low lights can help too. Follow with a hot shower and lavender oil...you should be ready for bed after that! |
I have a similar problem. I've found a soak in a hot bath helps a lot. |
Ditto, 15 minutes in the tub with the lights dimmed if possible, bam I am out. |
Stretching is great way to relax, cool down and increase your flexibiltiy.
Try the foam roller, it's like a giving yourself a massage. Check this site for how to use the foam roll. visit http://www.strongshape.com/foam-roller-exercises.html |
