I've had it done many times. It lasts for 3 weeks, during which time you will not need mascara. If money is a consideration at all, I would skip this procedure, but if it is no object go for it. It is safe, but the dye will sting as it sits there and that can make you uncomfortable the first time. Eyes and all. But if you just realize it's going to sting and your eyes will be fine it's not so bad. It's psychological.
The reason I say if money is a consideration, skip it is because there are so many other frivolous procedures that I would rather spend money on. Three weeks is not a long time. Mascara is cheap and easy to apply. No one likes to sit alone in a room with their eyelids stinging. I mean, it's not so bad, but it's not like a chocolate martini at the Hay Adams, either. And the "tint" is going to be very, very subtle or you will look like a hooker. Maybe a little blue-black.
