Where can I buy persimmons?

I'm in Arlington.

I'll take any (the orange kind), but the kind I really love is the light yellow that has some green near the part where the leaves connect.

+1. Asian supermarkets will have them, often on sale.

Lotte has them in huge boxes - especially the type you describe. I am a fan of the orange ones that are hard and crunchy and can never find them anywhere. Are they in season, though?

I recall they come into season in fall!
I also love the hard and crunchy type (yellow my favorite but orange is good too); not the other variety that has to be soft and mealy to prevent a puckery sensation on the tongue.

they always have them. they can be imported out of season so you can purchase anytime.

Aw we had some trees at my parents house growing up. The smell of them (mostly rotting on the ground lol) is so nostalgic for me! Marked the begging of Halloween and holiday season.
