Anxiety... Need psychiatrist/ psychologist recs

Prefer someplace in the district, metro accessible. I am having terrible anxiety, leading me to not eat and not sleep. Should I see my primary care physician or is this something I should find a specialist? I prefer one that takes insurance.

My primary care physician presribes me a low dose of Lexapro for anxiety. you might want to start there, although if it's really bad or complex you will want to see a psychiatrist.

Agree with PP if only because it will take you a while to find a psychiatrist, especially one who takes insurance--these are rare.
