My gym is sponsoring a Weight Watcher's weekly group starting next week and I'm wondering if it would be beneficial to me. I've already lost 4 lbs. on South Beach and have about 15 lbs. more to go. I'm also exercising 3-4x/week. Anyone out there done Weight Watchers and have advice? |
It's a great program. I would give it a try- you might find it easier to stick to since you can eat anything in moderation, plus the support aspect of going weekly would probably be beneficial. |
Love, love love weight watchers. Actually taught me portion control and provided helpful hints for keeping calories low. The meetings are great also.. good feedback and tips from others trying to lose weight, and the pressure of someone weighing you in always helped motivate me. Try it ![]() |
I lost 40 lbs on WW. It is a LIVABLE program, and that is what matters most. |
I lost 22 lbs on WW and have kept it off since October. It was all about I needed to lose and I look like my old self again. I only did the online version.
I have tried South Beach in the past and think it is a good program but I never really lost that much weight on it. The good thing about WW is that it helps you change all of your bad habits. And I eat out a lot for work and will still able to lose all this weight and keep it off. I went from an almost size 10 to a 4/6... Go for it |
I am doing WW Online and I have to say that if you follow the rules, you WILL lose weight. I think the beauty of WW is that you can eat whatever you want as long as you stay within your points value. I ended up losing 4 pounds the first week, but 0 the second b/c I went on vacation. But I know that if I do as I'm supposed to, that I will lose the weight eventually. It is pretty cheap as well. |
They also say people who attend meetings (vs. just online) actually lose more weight. It does seem like the one livable diet where you're not giving up major foodgroups or are never allowed to eat a cupcake again. |
Thanks for your replies everyone-I'm definitely going to give it a try! |
I tried it and lost some weight immeadiately, but found it hard to keep up with the food tracking (especially since I like to try a lot of non-WW recipes). I ended up quitting (online), but I do think it's a good program - it made me realize I was really over-eating. |
