U Mich rolling admissions

Thanks if anyone can help me here. If you apply Early action, they tell you by Dec. 24 - that is clear from the website. The website also references rolling admissions. Finally, I heard some kids learn they are into michigan by late November. Does that mean the EA decisions also are rolling? What determines whether you hear late November vs. before Dec. 24? TIA

My DC applied EA last year and heard by around Dec 15. His friends all heard the same day and everyone on college confidential heard the same day. Not sure about rolling regular admissions. I know some kids who applied later heard about 2 weeks later but all within pretty normal notification times. They used to have rolling admissions but dropped it 3-4 years ago.
