My husband is 43. Today he had heartburn and took a long nap. The heartburn went away but since 8 he has been very tired and has a headache. He just got up complaining he is dizzy. Am I being dramatic thinking maybe we should go to urgent care? His dad and brother both had heart attacks in their 50s. He is brushing me off and making me really worried.
Tell him you just want an EKG and then you'll leave him alone.
Go. Better safe than sorry.
For the love of God get to the ER and get him checked out
Definitely go to ER!
Well now he's nauseous so I wonder if it's a bug. He is very stubborn and won't listen to me...
Given his family histry, I'd absolutely err on the side of caution. Go get him checked out.
Nauseous can often be heart related. Can you call his docs after hours line? Maybe he'll listen to his own doc. |
And tell him how embarrassing it will be if you have to wake up the neighborhood with an ambulance.
Just do it. We hD a similar situation with my father last year, waited too long and he died on the way to the ER. Do NOT wait, it's not worth it.
If it's hard to get the doctor after hours you can call the nurse's advice line of your health insurance company. But vote with the others--minimum urgent care, ER probably better. |
|
Go to the ER. Based on his family history and symptoms he should be seen.

ER. Absolutely.
Please, please call your doctor.
Just go. My dad has gone to the ER a couple of times for what ended up being gastrointestinal, but I'm so glad he did. Nobody made him feel weird or bad about it and they take possible heart issues very seriously so you'll be seen quickly.
