I have rooted for chelsea since I was a child. I'm happy she had a baby but really worry about her marriage. Her husband always seems to be playing golf while she seems to always be working. I really got the impression he was a freeloader disguised as a preppie, and I hope so much that I'm wrong. |
Oh my. Congrats to them! |
So what... |
I had heard that, took, that he was a slacker. They seem happy. She's a bright woman. So if things head south, she can handle herself |
Congrats to the new family! |
Did she name the baby Charlotte Clinton Med...
is it common to give your last name as a second name to a child? I suppose the baby is not jewish as Chelsea has not converted |
Yes, that's common. Where are you from that you don't know that? |
Her husband made millions in the financial industry, on his own merits. He's not a freeloader.
When people leave banks etc, they often have to take "garden leave" first - they've signed noncompete agreements and can't work for a specific period of time. So he was doing that once and the press jumped on him unfairly for being a slacker. |
Everyone that I know have a name that could also be a first name as a second name. This must be a new American custm. If you look at geneology, there is no great granny Agnes Jones Smith, Alexander Kardasian Hilton |
Wow - I know someone who knows her husband/his family and has said the exact same thing (no mention ipof golf but they ere money hungry and have done sketchy things related to finance). I do like Chelsea though. |
Darn-I was hoping our babies would be birthday twins. It would have been fitting since people think I named our first after her mom ( I didn't, but hey, it's fine if people want to think that)
I think a lot of people from families like theirs use both last names in the child's name rather than the throwaway middle name idea. |
Get a life. |
If your father had been president of the US, wouldn't you want your child to carry that name? |
Hopefully the baby takes after dad. |
