I feel a bog lump just below my sternum area - what could it be??

I noticed a lump a couple months ago just below my sterum, maybe slightly to the right. It's hard, maybe golf ball size but I have to move and palpate a bit to find it. what could it be?

I meant big lump - its like on my diaphragm just but my right ribs, close to the middle.

could just be a cyst. did you have any trauma to that area recently? Does it hurt to take a deep breath?

+1 it's more likely something benign than not. You're doing just what you should by going to the doc on Monday. Hang in there, I know it's hard not to worry!
