Has anyone taken advantage of the Crate and Barrel lifetime guarantee on couches?

We have two C&B couches....slipcovered ones. The frames and cushions are in terrible shape....very uncomfortable. We do sit on them a lot - our living room is the main room in the house and we are on them everyday (family of 4). They are about 10 years old. Has anyone taken advantage of the guarantee on their couches and how did it go?

I've never called them about a couch, but I did have an overstuffed rocking chair that broke. It was about five years old. They promptly sent someone to the house to look at the chair. He agreed that it was broken, and ordered the part. They sent a second guy out a couple of weeks later to replace the entire base of the chair. They were very friendly and charged me nothing. It's possible that they may argue that your couches have simply experienced normal "wear and tear," but based upon my experience, it would probably be worthwhile to call and have them come take a look.
