Has anyone bought furniture (specifically dining furniture) from Pier 1?

We have two small kids and need a smaller scale, but updated table for our eat-in kitchen. We have two small kids, so not looking for an investment piece Has anyone bought dining furniture from Pier 1? I like the look of some of their pieces and their prices are much more reasonable than some of the other stores I've looked at. I am looking for feedback....good or bad. Thanks!

I have a bedroom set that I bought about 15 years ago. It is still in great shape and is still used as my primary bedroom furniture.

We did. A small wooden (?) table and four matching chairs. The chairs are in great shape and easy to clean. The table feels a bit flimsy and the top is scuffed and a little worn looking. Honestly, it looks like a patio set, but it goes great with the rest of our decor. We have a toddler who likes likes to, shall we say, experiment all the time so I'm glad we didn't spend a lot of money on it. It's working for us right now.

I have a hall bench from them that's great. In my experience, their stuff is good for what it is. If you've got small children, I think it's a great choice. We have a pricey dining room table, and it's under a custom cover and vinyl tablecloth. I don't think I'll see the actual tabletop for another 15 years!

Thanks all. Seems to be a decent way to go. Our table right now requires a tablecloth which nasically means that I have to change it after every meal!
