Vacation on the way back from Egypt with a 2 year old

We may have to take a stressful trip to Cairo for Christmas and want to make the best of it by going somewhere non stressful and not too expensive on the way home. Ideas? Portugal? Turkey? Paris? Dh suggested Croatia. Not London or Scandinavia (too cold for Dh). What is fun with a toddler?!

| Portugal is great but Lisbon is not especially interesting and that's where you'd fly in. After doing Egypt, why spend more time traveling around. |
