We're fed up with our live-out nanny and considering putting our DD in a daycare for at least part-time to start with. Does anyone have any recommnedations?

I don't have details, but I know people who seem happy with the Bright Horizons in Rockville.

Look at the Children in the Shoe's Rockville location. They're one of the few centers to offer PT care and are excellent. Our daughter is at the East-West Towers location and we couldn't be happier with the care she receives.

The new Bright Horizons on Twinbrook Parkway is very nice - bright, cheerful, nice staff. Definitely check it out.

Children in the Shoe has a wait list a mile long, although I hear good things. I really liked Academy Hills when I toured there. We landed at MCCA Park Street and we are very happy there. Some people on this board look down on it because the facility is old and it isn't Goddard or whatever, but our son loves going every day and everyone who works there has been lovely to us.
