Wedding in the Spring or Fall?

Or are they even? Weather may appear to be the same, but allergies may differ. Is one season less expensive than the other? Love an orange (coral) color for the fall and maybe a teal blue for the spring. What are your thoughts?

Check special concerns forum and think long and hard about getting married

Oh, so cynical.

OP, I'd figure out a venue then decide on the season. (Personally, I prefer fall vs. spring in this area.)

Spring or fall will be equally expensive. I prefer fall and we loved our fall wedding.

Ha!!! Go look at venues. NOW. You may not have the choice.

I think fall weather is more predictable.
We had an early October wedding and it was gorgeous.

Agree with predictability. April can be blazing hot or freezing cold. On the same day even!

I love Sept/Oct weather.

I wouldn't pick a color based on the season. Pick one based on what you like!!!!!! I don't like orange/rust/teal/blue. So I would pick what I like.

Fall! Loved our late October wedding in Alexandria. We were pushing our luck with it being at the end of October, but it worked out great.

I hate fall weddings, but I hate fall. Also, I prefer the flowers in the spring. Yes, you can get any flower any time, but it's heaps easier (and cheaper, sometimes) when they can be grown on your continent.

I say the sooner the better. Don't spend half a year planning a wedding.

I got married when we were ready to get married. I could see waiting six months to give myself time to plan and to give guests noticee and I could see waiting 12 to graduate ftom school or move or something, but I can't see waiting 6-12 months for a season to roll around. You might have a beautiful season for 89 days, but still have rain on your wedding day. If you want to be married, be married. If you want to have a perfect party, have a party. But those are two different things.

Agree. If you're engaged now then I suggest planning a wedding for the spring. If you're not then it shouldn't matter at this point.

OP here, I recently got engaged a week ago today . Ideally I was planning for the wedding to be in 2016, but as a pp has stated what's the wait. I'm going with the fall as the weather has been terrific this weekend.
