Okay...I have an iron security front door in my apt. living room and unfortunately my door faces a common area where many of my neighbors can directly look into my unit and clearly view my living room which makes me uncomfortable.
So I purchased a light burlap cloth piece at a craft shop but am not sure how to properly attach it to the door. Tried tape. Didn't stick. Tried safety pin. Couldn't get the pin to go around and clip shut. Any other ideas....? |
| Commando strip hooks on which you hang a light curtain rod? |
| Commando strip hooks and go to bed bath and beyond get a curtain with grommets. Loop the grommets onto the hooks, the curtain will be flush with the door. |
| Thx. |
| Why would you be leaving the main door open into the hallway? Not understanding the need for a curtain. Shut the door. |
| Heavy duty velcro. Sew on the fabric side if needed with a few stitches. |
The main door faces an outdoor area. |
Where can I purchase heavy duty velcro at please? |
Is the door transparent? I can't picture this either. |

I imagine she has a iron gate then a storm door. She wants to leave the storm door open for the breeze?
You should be able to find heavy duty Velcro at a fabric store like Joann's. |

You may want to try an actual curtain rod, even an adjustable spring curtain rod, e.g.:

I live in San Diego CA where it is always freakin' sunny and warm so most apt. residents have iron security doors in addition to our regular doors. We use them during the day if we do not have A/C. |
| You can get Velcro that sticks on to surfaces like double-sided tape in the sewing section of stores like JoAnn's Fabrics. I think Michael's, AC Moore, etc. would have it, too. It is very sticky and holds strongly on most surfaces. |
