This is a video about California's Proposition 8, and the lawsuit that will determine whether all 18,000 couples married in CA will be functionally divorced. I cried through most of it.

Awww, man. It made me cry too.

My partner and I exchanged wedding vows in a religious ceremony with family and friends as witnesses back in 2003. We sometimes think of it as all of the rites with none of the rights. We've been together eight years now and have a beautiful daughter.

We trust that, one day, people in the United States will look back at this time with disbelief about the fact that marriage equality for same-sex couples was ever an issue.
