Stupid Question

So I got a call back to set up an interview for a job I'm really excited about but unfortunately I missed the call. I called back and left a message a couple hours ago and still haven't heard from them. I'll still get this interview right?!?! I think the voice mail I left may have sounded a little jumbled, could they have changed their minds based on that?

As long as it's not something that lots and lots of other people are qualified for (e.g., cashier), yes, you'll still get the interview. Even if they're interviewing other candidates, it seems pretty unlikely they would have already hired someone. And until that happens, they're going to keep other people in line for the position.

The jumbled message isn't great, but I doubt they'd nix you over that (I assume you mean your speech was jumbled, not that the call quality was bad).

Remember -- this isn't as big of a deal for them as it is for you. The length of time it's taking to call back isn't because they've changed their mind, it's because it's not the most important thing on their list.

Thank you for your reply. I think I talked too fast in the message and I got tongue tied at the end which isn't like me. I just hope I didn't blow it.

This, exactly. I have the same feelings as you do, OP, when I'm waiting for a call back. This PP is so spot on and I need to remember the advice next time I'm in the same position.

Call back OP and try to reach them during business hours.

Op here and I am considering calling back this morning. That is acceptable?
