Candy-topped low fat yoghurt

Anonymous
I was just in Giant and spotted a low fat yoghurt for kids with M&Ms on top. Why on earth put candy on a yoghurt that is low fat? It's hardly a health product so why not just use normal yoghurt and let it be the treat or dessert that it obviously is.

why spell yogurt with an H?

My child eats it for breakfast, the fat free lowers the fat content that the m&m's have. It's not a dessert product, are you yogHURT?

M&Ms for breakfast?

I was surprised by the amount of fat free yoghurt (sorry, it's spelt that way where I come from too) in supermarkets here. Finding whole milk yoghurt with no added sugar is far more tricky! I haven't found any kid branded stuff without added sugar.

I might as well be eating the candied stuff. At least it would taste good. I've been eating unflavored 365 Greek this whole time and the whole thing's been BS

The suits seek to represent consumers who bought the yogurt from August 2008 to the present at 13 Whole Foods stores in New Jersey and 10 in Pennsylvania. They allege the sugar content in "Whole Foods 365 Everyday Value Plain Greek Yogurt" is more than five times higher than the amount listed on its nutritional label.

Three are like 10 mini m&m's your child will live

I buy it but consider it a high protien dessert. I have compared the ingrediants to chocolate pudding. The yogort (dark chocolate raspberry I think) had more sugar and more protein that chocolate pudding. Not sure which one is better but they are both a treat to me.

I bought the Twix one.

The reason is that my child does not eat lunch at school no matter what. But guess what? He didn't eat this either.

Low fat is out. New studies support high fat, low carb. So, this yogHurt loses big time.

I let 4yo DS pick (and eat) one, every weekend, as his reward for behaving well at the Giant with me.

I consider it a dessert replacement.

Why are pps being so obnoxious about the h in yoghurt? Are you not aware that it is a legitimate alternate spelling frequently used elsewhere in the world?

Because this is a DC forum and in the US there is only one spelling. Yoghurt isn't an alternate spelling here. Do you also spell colour wrong?
