Not sure the name, red container, add says it beat out a ton of others moisturizers even the "$700" ones? Curious how it is. |
Is this the Regeneris line? I admit that I'm interested in the responses too. I've heard good things but don't want to make any changes without some testimonials from real people. |
bump.
it is called Pro-X. the Regenerist line has been sold for quite a while and I ise it. I received an email from Olay for an advanced purchase but it had sold out. |
...which means that they are just keeping supply low to keep the buzz going (smart move on their part!). They also don't really give specifics on who says they're better than the $700 creams.
That being said, their other stuff is pretty decent, but apparently a normal-sized bottle is $62, which is a bit steep for a drugstore cream, I think. |
OP Here: I bought the olay regenrist micro sculpting cream at CVS for about 30.00. so far so good-- really like it. As someone who has bought La Mer in the past, this is feeling pretty comprable (and no, I do not work for Olay)! |
Just bought the Pro-X starter (sucker?) pack today. They promise "results" in 4 weeks- will let you know. Just so's I can feel better about spending so much ($60) such such little bottles, anyone mind telling me any good things you've heard?
I appreciate that it doesn't say "Olay" in large letters anywhere. It's a brand name I still associate with my mom's soap operas. And a silly-sounding one, too. Still, my dermatologist recommended Olay (cringe) and Neutrogena over more expensive brands, so I'm trying. |
Seems like a lot of Derms recommend Olay products. I think it is cool. Don't have to spend tons of money! |
21:59 here: I think it's cool, too, but "Oil of Olay" sounds like snake oil peddled to mid-Century housewives. |
when i was about 3yo, i thought the olay logo looked like mickey mouse (from afar) and i was convinced that my mom was keeping something fun from me out of reach. |
Ha! |
I saw it at Target this weekend and I'm going to bite the bullet and buy the starter kit. I found a deal in the paper this weekend. If you haven't recycled your circulars there is a $5.00 of coupon but even better there is a rebate. Just go to olayprofessional.com
Spend $50 and get a $25 rebate back. The starter kit is $60 so less the $5.00 and then the $25 back it is just over $30. You don't need a form just mail your receipt and UPC to the address on the website. The offer is valid from 2/8-3/8. I've been really happy with the regenerist line so I have high hopes for this. |
PP here. I meant that you don't need a form from the paper, you can print the rebate form off the website. I apologize if I was unclear in my previous post. |
Thanks, PP- Good to know I can get some of that $60 back. First impressions after 2 nighttime uses and a daytime use: Creams feel nice and creamy, eye stuff leaves a faint cooling sensation for a couple of hours afterward, but the daytime cream leaves excessive shine and a little greasiness. I can see that becoming undesirable when the weather heats up, plus, without make-up, it accentuates my pores. "Here they all are, folks. Careful, don't fall in!" |
