I just saw the most lovely beds of plants along Monument Drive (right in front of Fairfax Wegman's). What are those plants??

OP here. Thanks, PP, for that photo. I think the plants I saw might be the one in the top of the picture, between the purple ones.

A tropical outdoor plant, here in NOVA? (Clearly I am a novice!)

Merrifield out in Fairfax had those a few weeks ago.

We planted them and they are doing really well.

I forgot what they are called though.

Those are coleus, easy to grow and annuals in this climate.

Extremely easy to grow. We grow them from seed most years.

And you can take cuttings in the late summer (plus dig up the original plant) and have pretty houseplants in the winter
