Replacement for Trader Joes Fruit Strips that they have not carried for a year :(

Anonymous
I keep going back. Each time hopeful they worked through whatever the issues were with the supplier. I have come to terms that these will no longer be sold at Trader Joes.

My DS is very particular on the food that he eats - and this was one say to get fruit into him. Has anyone found a replacement? There are some flavors of the Sun Rype brand fruit strips that my son will eat - but if anyone has found another source, I would love to hear about it.

Thanks!

TJ's still sells organic fruit strips, just not the "odds and ends" bags anymore.

The odds and ends also came in a strip - those are the ones that I am looking for.

I have purchased the TJ Organic fruit strips and they have been rejected

I will try Wegmans next time I am near one. Thanks

Are these like fruit leather? If so, it's incredibly easy to make. You just whizz fa pound and a quarter with a few tbsp of lemon juice, and 3/4 cup sugar. Put on silicone mat for3-3.5 hours at 200. Flip for another half hour. Cut into strips.

It's even easier if you have a dehydrator because you can do it over night. Since making my own, I'll never buy again.

I have found the odds and ends bag at TJ a couple of times a year. I would guess they still have to get rid of the odds and ends somehow.

Yes, we have gotten the odds and ends bags, but you have to be in the right place at the right time. DH asked and was told that they get them occasionally but when they are gone they are totally gone until the next shipment, which is irregularly scheduled (I guess when they have enough ends to pack up) so there's no way to know ahead of time. Keep checking, or make friends with a TJ employee so you can get some inside info? Good luck.
