| I am in the market for a classic navy blazer. To wear with jeans mostly. I like a tailored fit. I am 5'7" tall and wear a size 6. Can you recommend a blazer? Thanks much. |
| I would look at Talbots first. |
| I like J Crew blazers to wear with jeans. |
| Theory also makes well cut, decently priced navy blazers. At least they did a couple years ago. |
| Whatever you buy, get it a size or two smaller than your regular size. Otherwise, it'll look bulky. |
how does that work? you never put it on and you just swing it over one of your shoulders? |
| J Crew. J Crew Factory if you don't care if it is wool. |
I like a theory also, but would not consider it "decently priced" for most people. A blazer would probably run upwards of 300$. That, to many is a lot of money! |
Ha! No, you just don't button it. |
I agree. Think about Kate Middleton and her tiny blazers. That's the right look. The old fashioned "classic" navy blazer looks dated. |
aha!

i want one of these blazers soo badly. |
| i love my jcrew schoolboy blazer. |
| For the real old fashioned classic look (that PPs are referring to as bulky) go to Brooks Brothers. I can't imagine wearing one of those with jeans though. For a more modern, less version I agree with J Crew. I have one by Bonby Jones (golf clothes designer) that's kind of a hybrid. Ralph Lauren might also have options. |
