Restaurant in MoCo or DC with excellent fried chicken (and kid friendly)

Craving fried chicken and willing to drive for it. Would love suggestions for a kid friendly place with great food and decent prices.

People say this, but I totally don't get the hype. We tried it, and I thought it was a flavorless grease pit.

Not really sure the answer to your question. Personally, I like Popeye's.

OP here. I love the place near G St, but I'm looking for a sit down place for dinner.

Momos in Bethesda (but it's cooked to order so there can be a wait for fried chicken).

Bon Chon is great for flavored fired chicken, either spicy or soy garlic glaze.

In Silver Spring, Jackie's does family fired chicken dinners every Monday night.
