Preschool Advice/Suggestions, Upper NW DC for Beauvoir

Anonymous
I have a 5-month old in upper NW DC and have no idea where to begin regarding preschool. I've done research on elementary schools and highly favor Beauvoir, but can't find much online regarding preschools. Does anyone have any preschool recommendations? And any advice on the application process? It is quite daunting for an amateur! I know (or at least hope) it is early to begin looking, but I'm just trying to familiarize myself with the options and process. Thank you.

If you like Beauvoir, you will like NCRC: http://www.ncrcpreschool.org/

Also very good and in the neighborhood: SAECC http://www.saecc.org/

I also reccomend St. Albans and given the nature of their waiting list you should get on it now. They accept 2 yo and do so on a rolling basis.

St. Albans is a day care center (hours 7-6). I have heard it is a very good one, but it is not really the choice you want if you are looking for just a part time preschool. For other part time preschools nearby with good reputations, look at St. Columbas, CCBC, and others. Also, FYI, NCRC is tough to get into, so I wouldn't rely on that as your only choice.
