Bartender lesson?

My husband is always trying to make the perfect Manhattan and always fails. (I don't drink them, but he reports that they are never quite right.) I thought a nice gift for him could be an in-bar or in-home lesson with a bartender so he could perfect his Manhattan. I have no idea where to look to find someone to do this and what the cost would be. Anywhere in MoCo or DC would work (and NOVA if necessary). Thanks for any tips.
