I feel like there are no books that are just a part of the traditional lending library anymore.
Amazon - thanks for pushing me to figure out how to borrow ebooks from the library and exploring other services. In the meantime - any recommendations? Interestingly, books I borrowed earlier this year are no longer available through the lending library! |
| Another thing that bothers me is that certain books I've bought can't be loaned out at all. I understand that books can only be loaned once, etc. I had thought that every book could be loaned once but that is not true -- publishers can restrict whether a book can be loaned. |

Thanks Amazon - after having it on my list of things to do, I figured out ow to download books from the public library.
Wow - I can't believe how much money I wasted. |
| Please share! How do you do it for Kindle? |
New kindle owner here and I agree 100% - in fact I wonder if I posted this in my sleep One thing I did just realize is that if you borrow from the owner's lending library via prime membership, you are limited to one book per month - so I wonder if after the month has expired a lot more books will appear available to me via prime in the kindle owners lending library.

Unfortunately not. All the eligible books show up; it's just that if you already have a book checked out and click on a new one to borrow, it will either say "you can borrow again on September 1" or (if your new month has started but you haven't returned the old book) prompt you to return the other book in order to check put the new one. |
