It is the terminology. The great American Math puzzle is all about the grammar and I can't figure out what they are asking.
So is there a web site that has an explanation of ratio fractions, regular fractions and so on? BTW, two engineers, one mathematician and one chemist (parents and grandparents) can not for the life of us figure out what this homework is all about. |

Its hard to say without seeing the problem but in my experience the trick is to pretend that you know nothing about math. You almost have to clear your head of all knowledge that should relate to the concept. Chances are the exercise wants you to do it in a very basic way that is the most labor intensive and not in a manner that the math object for this concept is meant to achieve.

| I don't think that you need help with Curriculum 2.0. I think that you need help with a specific math problem your child was assigned in school. Please post the math problem. |
