We are doing a DE cycle with a clinic in NY. We did one two years ago with the same clinic and I took the train to NY for all my monitoring appointments. Now with a toddler (that cycle worked) it is much harder to take the train to NY over and over again. Is there a local clinic that will do out of town monitoring and scans? TIA

| Shady Grove will do it but they will make a big deal about calling you an Outside Patient and might be annoying about the billing. |
| First find out if your out-of-state clinic is ready to accept the local clinic. SIRM NJ specifically told me that I had to be there for monitoring (ultrasounds). I do only E2 blood work at local LabCorp. It sounded overwhelming that I had to drive 4 hours for a 1 minute ultrasound but it wasn't painful at all when I actually did that. In fact, I felt much more comfortable when they looked at it, especially after too many failures at local clinics. But yes, I don't have children I need to worry about. |
| I used SIRM-NYC and they allowed me to do my monitoring at CFA. Although my insurance doesn't cover IVF, they covered all my local ultrasounds and blood draws. |
| I used Dominion for my pre-transfer monitoring. I was an ORM patient. After transfer, I had all blood tests done at LabCorp (pick whatever is closest to home or work) and ultrasounds at Washington Radiology (ditto). Dominion would not see me for pregnancy monitoring before I graduated to my OB. |
I was actually able to do all my pregnancy monitoring with my OB. He normally doesn't see patients that early but I just brought in orders from the fertility clinic. |
This. SG would not submit insurance claims and billed me as outside patient. I did mo monitoring there for a cycle with CCRM, it was a nightmare to deal with insurance and SG billing system. CFA did my monitoring for two cycles with Breverman and submitted claims directly to my insurance , CFA is monitoring me now to for an out of town DE cycle. |
Dominion did all of this and the pregnancy monitoring too but that was back in 2010. Dr. Gordon took care of me. |
