We've been through Piney Branch ES, Takoma Park MS, and now Blair. You will never regret moving to Takoma Park. |

| Plus, Takoma Park Elementary School houses a gifted program, so if your child is admitted, then the commute is much less burdensome. TPMS has the magnet Math/Science program which is supposed to be great. |

| TPES does not house a "gifted program". They are considered a magnet school with some (about 15 per class in grades 1-2) out of the area kids who test into and are then lottery chosen. However, all the kids at the school are afforded opportunity for enrichment as needed. |

I've heard good thing and yes, very diverse. Only potential downside is increasingly large grade levels (over 200). |
