Best haircut for very fine, naturally wavy hair that otherwise won't hold a style?

I have hideous hair, it's very fine, naturally wavy, gets very frizzy, and won't hold a style very well. Can anyone recommend a good haircut? When I go to a stylist they usually recommend something that I feel doesn't look very good on me. In general, I look better with medium length to long hair. Short hair makes me look fat.

Same here. I'm in the process of growing out the bangs and then wearing it in long layers just under the chin or a tad longer.

Same here too, even with the short hair and fatness! When I find a good stylist, I will post! I'm going to try someone I found on a curly hair website.

My MIL has hair like that and the DevaCurl products work well for her.
