What to put in the return basket?

Anonymous
Neighbor sent over some fresh produce. Of course I want to return their basket with something in it, but I do not know these people AT ALL. No idea what they eat. We don't grow anything so it would have to be something I make or buy. Any generic ideas?

Haha! I will add that too, for sure!

A dozen cookies or a tea bread maybe?

I would not worry about returning it with food. A note is fine.

A note and flowers, if you are not sure about their food preferences.

+1-- I know a lot of people with more vegetables than they know what to do with, so giving it to neighbors is a nice way to keep from wasting it.

Include in the note an "I owe you" for an hour of weeding or whatever they need in the garden that you or kids can do.
