Homestead - solo or bring the kids?

Booked a long weekend at the Homestead. Our kids are 3yo and 5yo. I have been saying I need a break. DH said I can go solo and he would take care of the kids.

Would you go solo or bring the kids?

I have never gone away by myself before, meaning go to a resort without another person. I have traveled for showers, weddings, etc. without the kids.

Solo sounds like a little slice of heaven to me. Sleep late, eat well, go to the spa. Go solo and enjoy. I had "the day off" Friday. My brother watched DS. I went to see The Giver, got a massage and went to whole foods to get stuff just for me. It was a few hours of heaven. Take the long weekend to rejuvenate and don't feel guilty at all.

It's a fun place with kids. I would go as a family.

We had an awesome time with kids that age- go together and maybe have DH watch the kids while you go to the spa one afternoon. After the kids went to sleep- we loved sitting on our balcony looking at the stars and talking. Try for a room in the newer wing with a balcony.

Definitely take the kids. the camp at Homestead is great. Homestead is a family oriented place.
