Thank you email keeps bouncing back

Anonymous
I had a final interview for a job I really want yesterday. I emailed one of the hiring managers without an issue. The other person email address keeps rejected my emails. I thought it was incorrect. I tried 4 times. I'm unsure of what to do now. I don't want to mess things up because I really want and need this position.

It obviously isn't the correct address. Can you look up their email address on their website, or call the receptionist of the company and ask?

Send a written note via snail mail.

Can't you just ask the other hiring manager for the second person's email to send them a thank you?

Email the person who you successfully contacted and say

"I also wanted to thank Joe Manager, but it seems that the address that I have from him keeps bouncing. Can you please convey my appreciation to him for the interview and his time. Thank you."

Sign it and let it go. If there is a follow-up response, you'll be contacted. If not, you hope that the person you contacted will be able to forward your message to the other manager. After that, you've done what you can, and you leave it to them to contact you back as necessary.

Stop sending thank you emails. We delete them anyway. It has zero influence on our decision.

For some people it's just good manners to thank people for their time. I would do it regardless of whether it had a positive effect on my application.

Well, as a hiring manager, I agree it would not make me hire someone that I otherwise would not, but it does give me the impression that the person is nice and has manners. So if two candidates were otherwise extremely close, it could make some difference, and what does it hurt?

The above is bad advice. It isn't the hiring manager's responsibility to convey your thanks. You're the one who needs the job. Respectfully request the email of the manager you need to contact and send along the appropriate and professional thank you.

Agree- call the office and ask for that person's email. Tell them the email you have been sending to (so they know you're not some weirdo) and so on.. not a big deal..
