I haven't bought jeans in years. There, I said it.
Where can I even start?! I looked at some Lucky Brand this morning, and they all seemed so... blah. I'm sick of the skinny jeans already. Don't like baggy, though. Where can I find a decent pair of bootcut or flare jeans that don't hang off my ass? I'm pretty tall. Help!!!!! Which brands do YOU love? |
| Please do not wear flare jeans. Thank you. |
| How much do you want to spend? Go to a department store like Bloomingdale's or Nordstrom and try on a bunch of them. |
| Flare and bootcut look sort of awkward at this point. |

Bootcut jeans are more flattering on most than skinny. Wear what you like.
Hudson makes a "baby boot cut" that is not quite as flared, but they also have a buttoned back pocket that I can't stand wearing. If you are tall, I would check out Hudson and Seven. |
| Levi's. The Curve ID line has been a godsend for me. |

Slim, straight jeans (not flared, not tight or skinny) look both modern/hip and are flattering to most people (at least in my opinion). For really inexpensive ones, Old Navy has a bunch of new straight-cut jeans featured on Refinery 29. If you don't like low rise, Lands End just redid their entire line of jeans and include some that are straight and slightly higher-waisted.

Jean lover here. I agree that flare and bootcut look sort of awkward at this point. I do have one pair of flair jeans (the Dojo by 7 for All Mankind) that I wear occasionally, but lately I have just been playing it safe and sticking to skinnies. I think the "skinny bootcut" might be the next big thing.
Lucky Brand jeans are the new mom jeans. I love 7 for All Mankind and Mother jeans. Hudsons always sit too low in my waist and are uncomfortable when I sit down. Same with Sanctuary. Joe's Jeans are always too baggy in the thigh, even if they fit my waist. |

| OP, just wear what you want, and don't listen to the snotty judgy bitches on here. I like AG personally. |
| The new Landsend jeans fit surprisingly well when I tried them out last week. I may get a few . |
| Paige jeans. I've bene wearing them for years and they are well worth the price. |
| I actually love the INC jeans at Macy's - you can get them in different lengths and cuts, and they have just the right amount of stretch. |

Express.
How in the world does boot cut look "awkward at this point"? What does that even mean? Unless you're 20 and stick-thin, skinny jeans are not so flattering. |
