Terrible real estate agent photos - does that bathroom REALLY have a tile swastika in it?

Holy Cow!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2727725/Who-d-live-house-like-Worst-estate-agent-pictures-homes-Swastikas-wall-smashed-windows-animal-trophy-heads.html

With broken windows, overgrown gardens and bedrooms that could easily double as prison cells, theses shocking properties would prove a hard sell for the most gifted of estate agents.

Even silver-tongued salesmen would struggle to shift these homes with what must be some of the world's worst estate agent photographs.
One includes a tiled Swastika in a bathroom, another pictures a dog using a back lawn as a toilet and a third shows a chilling message written in red paint warning guests that 'you will die'.
Others show stuffed animals and creepy-looking dolls and masks while there are also images of smashed windows, bizarrely positioned toilets and terrible paint jobs.

The images were compiled from around the world by Andy Donaldson of Terrible Estate Agent Photos and are due to appear in a new book.

I don't know, I might actually chose the nazi bathroom over that hideous pink and mirrored bathroom with the pink carpeting...

Not in that color scheme and with a Nordic country flag (Finland) on the other wall. I think that's a swastika on the wall to our left as we look at the picture.

LOL, WTF is up with the randomly placed toilets? Let's see, there is:

a toilet right in front of the back door
a toilet in the center of a stand up shower
TWO toilets (in different houses) right beside the kitchen sink

I think this must be Anders Breivik's house...

I wonder if some of these houses are not in the US.

The vast majority of the pics are from Europe, mostly UK.

My next door neighbor was really old, and her grandson plumbed in a toilet in her living room. Most bizairre thing ever! It was right beside her couch, facing the television.

I actually feel sorry for the real estate agent on some of these. I mean what do you do when someone gives you a house with a toilet in the kitchen and says, "sell it".

Not saying that the agent shouldn't have taken care of this problem but there are cases of swastikas being used in tile and other aspects of architecture long before they became associated with the Nazis. For example, President Garfield's tomb in Cleveland has swastika tiles. More from wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_use_of_the_swastika_in_the_early_20th_century
Archaeological evidence of swastika-shaped ornaments dates from the Neolithic period and was first found in the Indus Valley Civilization of the Indian subcontinent. The swastika (gammadion, "fylfot") symbol became (as it had long been in the Asian World) a popular symbol of luck in the Western world in the early 20th century. Although the Nazi Party adopted the symbol in the 1920s, it continued in use in Western countries with its original meaning until the Nazi association became dominant in the 1930s. The term swastika is first attested in English in 1871, and first refers to the Nazi emblem in 1932.

Is there a country where it is common to have a toilet in the kitchen? I mean, I do get that it makes it easier for all the plumbing to be in one location, but really??

My university had some old tiles with swasticas but those clearly predate the nazi appropriation. This is pretty blatantly nazi.
