How to start childproofing

Is there a good store that carries everything I will need? Are wal-mart or home depot good places to start or do I need to go to babiesrus-type stores?

I would go to the big baby stores b/c they have everything, even the things you did not think about. Buy Buy baby is a great store, as well as babies r us. Good luck and start early.
