I am the mom of 2 boys, and a girl due in the fall. When baby girl wears a dress, a onesie, and tights, what goes first, directly over the diaper? Is it the onesie, and then the tights, or the tights and then the onesie?
Thank you for humoring me with this silly question. I don't know any baby girls well enough to look up their skirts. |
| diaper, onesie, tights |
| Yup, tights on top, as if they were pants. |
|
I put tights against diaper if there is a skirt involved.
If it's just tights and onesie depends on how much I like the colors. I'll put the onesie on top if I like its color more. But then I only have solid color tights, none of the crazy decorated ones with butt messages. |
| If you put the onsie over the tights, it will make the tights stay up. |
I agree. If you have a crawler who shimmies her way out of tights, the onsie can help keep them on. For a smaller baby, I think tights on top is slightly easier for diaper changes. |
| I always did onesie over tights...like wearing a leotard |
This. Onesie always goes over the tights. |
PP who noted that onesie helps tights stay up makes a good point. Or, if you're my dad and you dress DD, you put onesie over contrasting-color leggings because he likes that she looks like a baby super-hero.

That's really adorable. |
| Another vote for onesie over tights so the tights stay in place. |

My girl twin is only 6 months and so far we've only done pants, so I appreciate this question too as I would have guessed everything over the onsie.
When the babies were tiny 5lbs my father dressed my son ... pants over onsie and daughter onsie over pants. It was sweet. |
Whichever way your little heart desires. Baby bums are cute either way.

| I did tights over onesie and the tights never fell off. |
