| I'm looking for something that will help me give the nanny, who has agreed to prep and/or cook while our LO is taking a nap, some ideas for shopping and meals. Is there a good site for this? (and yes, I am trying to outsource as much as possible!!!) |
| allrecipes.com It has a function to create a shopping list & you can select/deselect ingredients from each recipe. You can also create a recipe box to store ones you like. |

I want to subscribe to this. Do you like it? |
NP. I've tried 3 meal planning services and this was the best for us. I think it comes down to how well the cooking style matches up with what you want to eat. I'm vegetarian (although the rest of my family is not) and too many of the vegetarian options were adaptations with fake meat- which I'm not a fan off. If I was not vegetarian I think I would have stuck with it longer. That said, the recipes were quick, kid friendly, and usually pretty good. I printed out all of them and still go back to them pretty frequently. I suggest you check out the sample menus on the website and see if they appeal. When you are a member, you can swap out recipes if there are some that just won't work and it will automatically update the shopping list. |

Pepperplate. Load up your recipes, stick them in a calendar, and it makes you a shopping list.
I'm not organized enough to use it these days but it's a great (free!) planner |
Just downloaded this app. It's awesome! I prefer to make my own recipes because I know there will be less whining with familiar dinners. Love that I can add my own and import new ones, and create shopping lists from them. Thanks! |
Welcome! I also like that you can scale things - when I was organized, I used it. I now use Pinterest - I have a private "to cook this week" board and I save things to it, make lists based on the recipes, and go from there. It sort of works! |
