I need to cover my pool table with something heat resistant and hard so I can convert it into a buffet table for a party?
We have a special foam insert that covered the velvet surface and then put back the leather cover on it, and used it for cold foods and snacks a couple of times. But this time I want to place dinner items and some dishes may be hot, any advice? |

My mom had a piece of plywood cut to fit over the entire edge of her pool table -- so it was several inches above the velvet surface.
Once the plywood was covered with an inexpensive table pad and then a regular table cloth, it just looked like a big table. |
| My old apartment had a club house that they used to rent out for events. They also used plywood that fit over the entire table and then covered it with a table cloth. |
My grandma used a vinyl tablecloth and lots of potholders...those were the days.

| Sheet of plywood and a tablecloth. |
| Plywood |
| I bought a cover for it online that was leather or pleather. |
