The more salient argument is if it did happen, does it matter? To some yes. To others, not enough to leave as they perceive the benefits outweighing the risks. Personal choice. But, don't lie and cover up BP's behavior. It is what it is. He should be proud of it if that's who he is and explain why he uses motivational techniques like this. He must be doing it on purpose, right? It can't simply be that despite having decent soccer knowledge that he is an immature person in an adult's body, could it? I mean, that would be unheard of in youth coaching, right?

Let's put it this way. There is more than one family at the club that feel trapped right now. For many reasons. The questionable culture is just one thing. Dropping the ball on the St James purchase right after deposits were made is definitely a short term move and rubbed many the wrong way. It locks the current families in for one year to help the purchase. Great. In the long run, it slowly undermines the trust that a club should have with the families. All in all, it makes it more likely that the club moves to Springfield next year for new blood and a fresh start with new families.

I don't know why anyone would feel trapped. Any player/family could leave and join another club. There are SO many in the area. If the player is worth a salt, an ECNL club would pick them up.

Timing was suspicious and I think there is more to it. I don't know what yet though.

I also don't think they'll pick up and move. STJ wouldn't want that. They DO NOT want to break up the current teams as it would tarnish their brand if FCV performed like the other local clubs.

Mediocre at best with one or two age groups at most that compete at a moderately high level.

I'm not an FCV fan, but I see these posts and it sounds like someone is selling a narrative. FCV may not be quite the powerhouse it was, with other options. That's not to say that they are "just another NOVA program" . I'm not sure what the STJ fall out will be, but for now, they hold their own.

I can smell desperation to bash FCV when I know I'm not even with the club and people persist. That's really a thing to behold. I never thought I'd ever say this, but I'm starting to feel sorry for them. They are a club people love to hate. I guess FCV is living rent free in a few heads.

I certainly see many posts bashing FCV. Now I'm no fan of FCV, but I agree with the previous poster. It reeks of desperation.

Hate them all you want, the club works for many kids and they have good teams.
