Because if we allow the name-calling, horrific and cruel accusations, and profanity-laced rants to drive us away, they will have succeeded with their tactics to silence us. It's like an oppressive government that punishes people with dissenting views to the point they "submit" or no longer express those views. We cannot teach these liberals that mocking us, cursing at us, telling us that wish we were dead, and calling us racists is an effective way to shut us up.

It reminds me of a class I took. It was immediately after the 2012 election, and the professor (they're always so liberal, aren't they?), opened the class expressing his relief that the country was "saved" from a Romney victory, and went on to make derogatory remarks about him and the people who voted for conservative policies. It went on for quite a few minutes, until I was totally disgusted and left the room. As I walked out, I heard one of the classmates say, "good riddance."

Liberals will continue this tactic of trying to exasperate us, ridicule us, curse us....whatever....in their attempts to silence us. We cannot allow them to succeed, or we will have no longer have a democracy.

Keep fighting the good fight, PP. You are a hero. Truly, they will make a movie about your brave actions posting anonymously on an internet board where most people hate the man you so worship.

More liberal craziness. Who said I worship him? I don't even like him. My point was about the continuing accusations and death wishes (or in your case, sarcastic remarks) by liberals to anyone who voted for him - and for policy reasons. But you're proving my point.

OMG so much drama with you Trump loving snowflakes! Death wishes??? Are you completely and utterly insane, or just super dramatic and self-aggrandizing?

There have been several examples of liberals on this forum saying they wish all Republicans would be killed.

I challenge you to find me even one such post where it wasn't clearly someone just exasperated saying something dumb (like when a little kid tells their mom they wish she'd die).

You and your drama. Nonstahhp. Such a whiny victim.

Are you seriously trying to excuse death threats? By comparing a grown up on a political forum to an "exasperated" little kid?
Now I have seen it all.

How about if I said those KKK members are only threatening people because they are exasperated? You know, like a little kid? Am I being a drama llama for taking their threats seriously?

Death THREATS?

"I hope a virus wipes out Trump voters" is not a threat.

Here is where you retell the story again & again and it becomes something it is not.

I believe the poster said 'If I had a button that would unleash a virus on Trump voters that would wipe them out I would push it so hard it would break".

There were others, too. No need to repeat them here. The only one that really concerned me was the liberal who said she would murder trump voters if she knew she could get away with it, and the only reason she doesn't is because she might get caught. Seriously unhinged.

Yes. From now on, we should be saving these posts. Comes in handy when refuting the clueless libs.

OK.. so what are the great outcomes?

NAFTA - Trump's not done anything yet.
TPP - he pulled out of it, and now the farmers, who overwhelmingly are R and voted for him, are really worried
ACA - I don't even need to say anything about this
NK - there was very little chance that Kim would've bombed Guam, and even Putin said that NK would rather have their people eating grass than give up their nukes. China and Russia, NK's closest allies, couldn't even prevent them from getting the nukes.
Illegal Immigrants - what town/city not along the border has seen a dramatic decrease in illegal immigrants? Have you seen them all disappear?
The Wall - so, it turns out that MX won't be paying for it. American taxpayers will. Certainly the illegal immigrants won't be paying for it.

You want to focus on outcomes, but to date, there really is not much you can point to in terms of outcome.

My brain is wired to use critical thinking skills, and to recognize when I'm being bamboozled by a snake oil salesman. And sure, past POTUS have had their personal issues, but I have a line and some standards. Trump goes below them. I'm sorry you have such low standards for your POTUS. Basically, what I hear you saying is "who cares if he shoots someone on 5th ave as long as he does things that I agree with."

And I'm a former R.

Thank you for sharing. I feel completed now.

Illegal border crossings are way down.
Dreamers are on notice their unconstitutional amnesty has an expiration date.
Kim Ill dung is on notice that he's a candidate for nukedom.
The economy is roaring along--did you see we hit 3% GDP growth? Me either, CNN must have had a scoop on the Russia angle that day.
We're not part of the BS Paris climate whiners anymore.
EPA is on notice that they're budget is going in the dumper.
Thousands of state department positions remain unfulfilled.
Neil Gorsuch is a sitting justice. Carmen Miranda or Merrick garland or whatever her name was, is not.
ICE is hiring more officers and are conducting raids in Los Angeles.
The RNC, despite the dire predictions of a republican civil war, are out raising the DNC.
The wall is getting built. You, a liberal taxpayer, are going to pay for it
Betsy Devon is about to put the screws to campuses that disavow free speech.
For the first time in a long time, transgender pandering does not drive national policy.
What's not to love? Happy days are truly here again

Let's address that ^^PP's "outcome"....
11 million illegal immigrants are still here
Kim Jung Un is not scared of Trump.. really... does it look like he's scared?
There is a thread that shows how under Obama's first year, more jobs were created than under Trump's first year.
Yea, who needs clean air and water. Rich people can afford to live in clean areas; who cares if poor people can't. That's what you are saying.
OK, so Supreme Court is tilting conservative... so? You know that ACA was deemed constitutional by a conservative supreme court judge?
You are soooo dumb to think that liberals are paying for the wall.. I really tried to not call you names, but I couldn't help it.
Transgender military ban... lol... you are not paying attention. You don't seem to realize that the Sec. Def. is pretty much ignoring Trump, and the other military heads are, too.

Yea, what's not to love.. very little actual outcome.

From what I have read, ACA was one of the most important issues for many people who voted for Trump. And where are we with that? Did Trump even have a plan like he said he did? No.. he just said, "Who knew healthcare was so complicated". Oh FFS.

Ugh. Your post is pathetically low energy in comparison to pp's high energy post about President Trump's accomplishments. Sad. Go back to your safe space and listen to CNN for a while so you can lurn better talking points.

DP. I noticed that too. The "libbie" is outmatched. (I figure if you can call us racists and KKK sympathizers, you can live with "libbie.")

Amazing. One particularly demented liberal says she'd kill Trump voters if she could get away with it, and another simply liberal rolls her eyes. And to think they think they're the party of love and compassion. With very few exceptions, all I've seen on this forum from liberals is hate and close-mindlessness.

And before the predictable poster chimes in with, "Liar! You know you never voted Democrat!" I'll just say I certainly did. I loved Bill Clinton. Those days are long gone, however.

Wow. Such a hardship for you poor special snowflakes.

I think the liberals are excited that they get to use the term "snowflake" to describe someone other than themselves. Too bad they're using it incorrectly. Last I checked, reacting to death threats doesn't make one a snowflake. Now, needing trigger warnings and safe spaces? Those are actual snowflakes.

Why can't you Trumpsters realize that you are called names because of your continued support of Trump after all this sh1te, your continued turning the blind eye.

From what I have read, there are people who voted for Trump who seem to regret it now.

I think if someone regrets their Trump vote, they should be given a pat on the back for finally opening their eyes.

Trump's got the lowest approval rating ever for a POTUS in his first year. This is reported by Fox News. You know it's bad when Fox News is reporting low poll numbers. I know, I know... polls, they are wrong.. except if they *ever* showed how great he is, then you'd be saying, "look at these polls!". This is why we keep calling you names.

I believe there was one person mentioned in a post yesterday, who had "asked for forgiveness" on FB for his Trump vote. Who are these other fictional people seeking absolution from the omnipotent liberals? Proof? Links? Or just wishful thinking?

1. Pardon me. There was a seismic movement within the U.S. that was intended to yield a candidate to achieve seismic results. Is he perfect? NO but, he is who we have in office and we are reaping benefits of a Supreme Court Justice, stronger national defense, lower immigration flow, regulation relief, strong economy, focus on the middle class, etc.

2. I regretted my vote for a few days but, guess what? Because who gave North Korea nukes in the first place, people. Who supported NAFTA and we could hear the "giant sucking sound." Who voted *against* the interests of affinity groups some of you all have a Saviour Complex for? Whose party is making deals against the U.S. own interests but, in their own political and families' financial interests. You all make me feel more like a Democrat on social issues until we reach the budget. I see parallels between the media's obsession with harpooning this President and Herman Melville's Moby Dick. I'll be right here when the story breaks that the indictment is in but, 8 months of "Gotcha Now" is gonna turn him into a folk hero. Now, let's wait to hear what Susan Rice and Donald Trump Jr. have to say in their testimony.

3. You assume because I enjoy infotainment from Fox that we use Fox as our source documents? Super adorable.

I am one poster though and others, of course, have different experiences and opinions.

Who wants to win those dumb f*cks over?

You shouldn't ever have to convince someone to not vote for a crazy man. You can keep them.

And that's the attitude that will get Trump elected again. I wonder who the dumb f*ck (to use your lovely language) really is. You guys never learn.

NP. Your votes are contingent on hurt feelings arising out of anon board fights that you repeatedly seek?

Of course not. My vote is contingent on which candidate's policy preferences best align with my own. But if Im wavering because I could go either way, I will be reluctant to associate with a party that has made it clear that they vilify and will attempt to squash all differing opinions. That is a political approach I abhor and could very well sway me, all other things being even.

EXACTLY. Do these people actually think we're voting for a candidate merely to spite them? That we don't actually find at least some of our important issues represented by the candidate we vote for? They're giving themselves way too much credit if they actually think people voted for Trump just to spite them, and for no other reason. Clueless.

+2 Agree. Love your point 1. This is what is pissing off the liberals.

I'm the +1 poster. A key difference I see between Trump voters and the people launching into attacks against those who voted for him is that the former focus on issues, and the latter resort to focusing on the person, ala Orange Virus, while calling us racist, KKK sympathizers, morons, etc. It reminds me of the saying that first-rate people talk about issues; second-rate people talk about things; and third-rate people talk about other people.

Stay focused on the results, people. As the PP said, reduced illegal immigration, stronger defense, a reduction in strangling business regulations, the Supreme Court Justice, and more.

+100
It's been a rough ride, but the results are worth it. I try not to focus on all of Trump's deficits and rather on what he's accomplished.

Clueless.

Yup. I'm running into this all the time. All I hear is "how you could you vote for that idiot"? Well.....because I'm not just voting for a person. I'm voting for a platform. And in this case, it was absolutely critical (to me) that we didn't allow Hillary to get to nominate the next SC Justice (particularly at the time since we don't know how the Congressional races would turn out.) The second issue (for me) was to start cracking down on illegal immigration. What has been going on in this country is beyond ridiculous, with the Sanctuary Cities and the entitlement of illegal immigrants.

Very true. Trump is many things, but at least he doesn't suffer fools. Fools are the ones claiming he "hasn't denounced the KKK."
