| It does say 2025 commits as title of thread, didn’t know we couldn’t speak from bottom of the capital alter. One of the girls I coach in high school here in NV was one of commits. |
There aren’t any Virginia girls listed on their 2025 roster on IWLCA. All are from NC. |
. You are in Nevada and posting here about a high school kid? What? |
NV = Northern Virginia |
| Isn’t this a commitment thread? Why are we debating between 2 goalies? Who even cares? |
I agree 100%. It is sad Capital does not have a better social media presence. I imagine all those parents are paying Capital a pretty penny so that is ONE thing they could do to recognize their talented players and all their hardwork. They may lack some tech savvy staff? |
With some of the things that are being said about players and their commitments or lack thereof perhaps there is a good reason they don’t post rosters or commitments. |
| Much like almost all D1 programs, Capital doesn't post verbal commitments. Both Capital & D1 programs do post after players have officially signed (late fall of Senior year). Any one can readily see all the verbal commitments at www.laxnumbers.com. |
No - Capital does not post, even after players sign their senior fall NLI's. A simple check of their Insta page confirms this. Capital used to do this years ago, but don't anymore. The players and parents would very much like to see this. |
| interesting stats when you look at seniors on top 10 teams. Many dare I say most got very limited playing time in their careers. Obviously you have to be a very talented player to make the roster but when the career is over I wonder how many regret their decisions based on the ROI of going to "elite lacrosse programs" There are many excellent schools in the mid-tier level where some of these players could actually have played meaningful time. Just saying there is a lot more to consider. I have seen tons of "All Met" players get zippy zap playing time at some of the Top programs. Just a thought..... |
| Any updates from Skywalkers? Shouldn't they have a bunch of commits? |
Not a Skywalkers dad. Pulled from the Skywalkers IWLCA page includes both Blue and White. Mercer Stanford NW Syracuse Florida Florida ECU ODU JMU Towson Hopkins Hopkins USF Stanford |
Impressive list! |
| For perspective, it’s worth keeping in mind that (according to USA Lacrosse) only 3 percent of high school female lacrosse players go on to play D1. With 115 or so D1 programs, that means only something like 0.025 percent get recruited to top 10 teams. So players who commit to programs like Northwestern, UNC, BC, Syracuse, Denver, JMU, Maryland etc. are the elite of the elite. |
| Any recruits for YJMA or Pride yet? |
