Looking for OBGYN who delivers at GWU

| I am new to the area and looking for an OBGYN who delivers @ GWU hospital. The posts on here with respect to most of the doctors at GWU MFA seem overwhelmingly negative, so I am curious if anyone has anyone they enthusiastically recommend. |

| There are a number of GWU MFA OBs who are routinely recommended here. I personally recommend Dr. Macri every time a thread like this arises, and I've seen lots of other people do the same. |

| Dr. Alan Birnkrant has a small practice but delivers at both GW and Sibley. |

| I completely disagree that many of the posts about the GW MFA doctors are negative--most complaints about the practice involve the front office staff, not the quality of the medical care. The doctors are great. I love Dr. Keller and have heard good things about all the doctors. As for the front office and getting a quick call back, I've also never had any trouble there. I had an issue come up on Christmas Eve and called the 24 hour on-call doctor. I heard back within 30 minutes. As far as large practices in DC go, I have no complaints. |

I also am very happy with MFA. There are a number of doctors there, so if you dont click with one, you may with another. I had no problems with discussing natural delivery, breastfeeding while pregnant, birthplans, etc. I am always abe to make appts when necessary and when I needed an urgent appt, the nurses fit me in. My last delivery was a great experience and I am hoping my 2nd will be too.

| I've seen all of them. Dr. Marfori delivered my baby and was responsible for most of my care while pregnant. Very cary and friendly. Dr. Monthy handled my ovarian surgery. Wry & dry sense of humor and great care. Dr. Macri is a great doctor but conservative. |

| My OB, Dr. Russell Bridges, delivers at GWU. His offices are nearby at 24th and M. Great doc, solo practice. |

| Dr Marfori is amazing! Had a baby last week and she was my Ob GYN really nice and comforting and very very competent. The nurses at GWU are really good too and a great source of comfort when I was in labor for 12 hours! I think her name was Michelle Osbourne |
